Philanthropy at AVS
Philanthropy at Alta Vista School
At Alta Vista School, we recognize the importance of community involvement and contributions. Like many independent schools, AVS relies on tuition and philanthropic contributions to enrich our classroom experiences, support educational and community programs, expand tuition assistance, provide top-tier professional development for our faculty and staff, maintain and enhance our facilities, and achieve our long-term strategic goals.
Tuition by itself does not fully cover the expenses of educating a child at AVS. Fundraising is crucial for sustaining the excellence and robustness of our programs and community. We invite all community members to make a meaningful financial contribution to our school. Every donation, no matter the amount, is impactful.
Our community is remarkably generous, and we aim for 100% parent participation in each fundraising effort annually. We encourage families to prioritize AVS in their charitable giving. We are profoundly grateful for every gift and the sense of generosity it cultivates within our community.
Fundraising Initiatives
The Annual Fund: The AVS Annual Fund is the cornerstone of our yearly fundraising efforts. Contributions to this fund provide essential opportunities for learning and discovery and enable us to respond to emerging opportunities and challenges.
Community Celebration: Our annual spring Community Celebration directly supports our tuition assistance program (Include info RE: CMIs)
Capital Campaign: Periodic capital campaigns are conducted to fund our long-term strategic goals.
