Aviator for a Day Takes Flight at Alta Vista School

Alta Vista School was thrilled to welcome more than 100 prospective families to Aviator for a Day at our Lower School Campus—our signature open house event that celebrates the joy of STEAM learning.

The day was filled with hands-on, curiosity-driven activities designed to inspire creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving. Participants built and launched their own mini-rockets, explored the wonders of oceans and rainforests, and tackled engaging challenges that encouraged innovative thinking.

Each experience offered a glimpse into how Alta Vista nurtures an interdisciplinary learning environment—one where curiosity takes flight and discovery knows no bounds.

We’re deeply inspired by the enthusiasm and ingenuity of our young visitors and can’t wait to welcome these budding innovators back to campus soon.

Up next, we look forward to hosting Aviator for a Day at our Middle School Campus on Saturday, November 15, a similar STEAM-focused event designed especially for prospective 6th grade applicants. Please help spread the word about this exciting event!
