Eighth-graders Help Lower School Students Be Catalysts for Positive Change in the World

Eighth-graders Help Lower School Students Be Catalysts for Positive Change in the World
Gaby Aguirre

Eight graders in Life Matters class which combines Social Studies and Science visited the Lower School last Monday to present their campaign on Waste Reduction. California and especially San Francisco are known for being ecologically aware places that have implemented a system that includes recycling and composting. These students noticed that unfortunately, many items that could still be reused end up in the waste bins and that some of this waste is not always placed in the right bin.

Eighth-graders informed, modeled, rapped in an effort to help Lower School students understand how to properly dispose of waste and help our planet while they are at it. This group left the LS campus with a big smile on their face proud of being catalysts for positive change in the world!
