In honor of Black History Month, we invited the Cheza Nami Foundation to the lower school this week to bring us their interactive and vibrant cultural arts education program that explores the cultures, music, dress, instruments, and dance of Africa and the Diaspora. In Swahili, Cheza Nami means, "Come play with me!"
Below is a video compilation from this week’s presentation, and check out the album of videos and photos of the event here. Don't miss the moments of volunteer student dancers and drummers as well as lower school teachers dancing their stress away for the day! Special thank you to Ms. Angela of the 5th Grade Team and our DEI Faculty Coordinator for all her work arranging this joyful community gathering.
