The Alta Vista Middle School Chess Club is making its mark! Led by Andrew and launched by Head of School Rob, students compete online using Rookly, taking on schools across the West Coast. 🏆
Each week, around 10 students gather to sharpen their skills, support their teammates, and celebrate big wins—like AVS taking first place against schools in Las Vegas, San Jose, and LA! 🥇
“The kids are so invested in the matches—it’s amazing to see them build real connections through chess,” says Andrew.
