AVS Celebrates Diwali

AVS Celebrates Diwali
Angela Fisher

Our AVS community came together on the morning of Friday, October 24, to celebrate Diwali, the Festival of Lights, with joy, music, and vibrant color, MC’d by 5th graders. Students from all grade levels helped share the story of Diwali through narration, song, and instrumental performance. Dressed in beautiful traditional clothing, they brought the celebration to life with creativity, enthusiasm, and learning.

The after-school Bollywood Dance class delighted the audience with a lively performance, followed by two joyful community dances led by Nisha Rawat and Nidhi Rambhia. The room came alive with movement and smiles as students, staff, and families joined together on the dance floor.

We also want to extend our gratitude to Danny Clay, who played a key role in supporting the musical component of the celebration.

Special thanks to JyotiNidhi, and Manjari—as well as all the families and teachers—who helped make this year’s Diwali celebration so meaningful and memorable.

Editor's Note: We've updated this article to include Nidhi, whose contributions were integral to our Diwali celebration. We apologize for the original omission.
