Transportation

Alta Vista School is committed to accessibility and environmental stewardship

As a leader in environmental sustainability and with families from across San Francisco and the Bay Area attending Alta Vista, we strive to be a good neighbor by minimizing traffic in our residential neighborhood. We encourage families to walk, bike, carpool, take public transportation, or ride the school bus. In partnership with The San Francisco School, we currently offer one bus option, available at an additional cost.

This is 2025-2026 information. Routes and costs subject to change in future.

Carpooling

Alta Vista encourages carpooling! Carpooling helps families get to know each other and allows caregivers to cut down on school trips. It also helps relieve the traffic congestion in the school vicinity and benefits our environment. Our internal directory for families supports sorting by proximity, allowing families to see who lives nearby.
