Alta Vista School is committed to accessibility and environmental stewardship
As a leader in environmental sustainability and with families from across San Francisco and the Bay Area attending Alta Vista, we strive to be a good neighbor by minimizing traffic in our residential neighborhood. We encourage families to walk, bike, carpool, take public transportation, or ride the school bus. In partnership with The San Francisco School, we currently offer one bus option, available at an additional cost.

Available for Grades JK-8, mornings and/or afternoons
SFS and Alta Vista School are contracting with First Student to provide a shared school bus. First Student provides transportation services for a number of independent schools in the Bay Area.
Families receiving Tuition Assistance can work with the Business Office to explore financial assistance options for bus service
Alta Vista encourages carpooling!
Carpooling helps families get to know each other and allows caregivers to cut down on school trips. It also helps relieve the traffic congestion in the school vicinity and benefits our environment.
