Health and Safety / COVID Updates

In response to the changing nature of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the AVS Health & Safety Team continues its work to support the health and wellness of our students, faculty, staff, and families.

Adhering to the most up-to-date guidance and directives from the California and San Francisco Department of Public Health, our health and safety plan is informed by our core values of care, community, and interconnection. We remain committed to the physical, emotional, social, and intellectual well-being of our students, faculty, and staff. Our decision-making, policies, and procedures adhere to state, county, and city regulations and are designed to support our entire community.

AVS’ revised Covid-19 policies are in alignment with all current guidance from the California Department of Public Health and the San Francisco Department of Public Health. As guidance continues to evolve we will adapt as needed, and updates will be shared in our Health and Safety Plan and by email.

We start the 2022-23 school year continuing the same guidance from the beginning of the summer.

AVS remains mask optional and supports the recommendations for masking per CDPH guidance. We expect to have an update from the CDPH on recommendations and requirements for schools within the next week and will share any new information with you as soon as possible. Please note that as circumstances continue to change, we will respond quickly and may update our policies as needed.

Regards,

AVS Health and Safety Team
