Other Information
William was born and raised in San Francisco, and has lived in Vermont, Arizona, North Carolina, London, and Madrid. His teaching journey began with 8 years as a summer camp counselor, but after college and business school, he spent over 20 years working in medical technology companies and other ventures. He has returned to his calling, teaching young children. He is entering his 12th year as an elementary school teacher, and has taught kindergarten, first, and fourth grade in both private and public schools. He leverages his life experience, passion for learning, and enthusiasm for teaching to inspire young minds to take chances, to follow their curiosity, and to take big steps in the classroom. He exercises his open mind, sense of humor, and deep empathy to build and support a strong classroom community as a firm foundation for a lifetime of learning and leading.
When he is not teaching, he enjoys spending time with his wife, family, and friends. Since childhood, he has been a diehard Warriors and 49ers fan. He loves walking around San Francisco, hiking in Marin County or in the mountains, and watching old movies and British mysteries.
