Biography
Samantha is thrilled to join Alta Vista as the new 5th grade math teacher this year. Samantha spent the last 8 years crossing the bay, teaching 4th and 5th grade at The Berkeley School and is excited to be back teaching in her native San Francisco. She is dedicated to building a collaborative environment where students unravel mathematical concepts together, investigate various problem-solving strategies, and recognize that mathematics is a creative, purposeful endeavor deeply rooted in their daily experiences.
When she’s not teaching, Samantha is busy keeping up with her almost three year-old, jamming to BTS, browsing the kids section of bookstores, and trying out all the new boba shops in the Bay Area.
