Biography

Stephanie is thrilled to be joining the AVS community and the Kindergarten team. In the last 10 years, she has taught 1st grade at San Francisco Friends School, K-2 at Synapse School, and art in classrooms around the peninsula. Stephanie has her Masters in Education and Teaching Credential from Santa Clara University. Stephanie has a deep passion for children’s literacy, believing that consistency and routine can build the foundation needed for kids to feel successful in their school career. She particularly loves working in this age group because she loves witnessing the world open up as kids learn to read. Outside of school, Stephanie is adjusting to life as a new parent. She had a baby earlier this year and is currently exploring the messy world of introducing solids. She also loves baking and collecting children’s picture books.​​​​​
