Biography

Growing up in Stanford, California, he found it challenging to navigate a conventional school system that often fell short of meeting every student's needs. It was through sculpture that he found his footing: a way of thinking, making, and expressing that the traditional classroom never offered him. The opportunity to bring that experience into a studio art and design teaching position at Alta Vista School feels like a dream come true.

He went on to attend the University of Puget Sound, graduating in 2019 with a B.F.A. in Studio Art and a minor in African American Studies. He completed his M.F.A. in Spatial Arts at San Jose State University in 2024, where he worked as a teaching assistant and lecturer of record. He taught as a substitute teacher and garden educator in the La Honda & Pescadero School District. Over the past 2 years, he taught as a 4th–5th grade loop teacher at Creative Arts Charter School in San Francisco.

In his spare time, he can be found going on long bike rides, practicing and teaching Jiu Jitsu, roasting and brewing coffee, spending time with close friends, and much more.
