Biography

Olatokunbo joins Alta Vista with two decades of experience supporting students from preschool through college as a teacher, counselor, and advisor. Passionate about inclusion and empowering students with resources they need to achieve their goals, she previously worked at UNESCO on education equity programs for girls.

Olatokunbo relocated to the Bay Area after a rewarding international career counseling students in schools across Africa and Europe. Prior to joining AVS, she supported lower and middle school students at two Bay Area independent schools.

As a student advocate and SEL Specialist, Olatokunbo spends her days helping learners feel seen, valued, and capable. She motivates students to become their best selves by supporting them as they discover their strengths, navigate challenges with kindness and a growth mindset, and guiding them on a joyful educational journey.

Olatokunbo loves spending time with her family, trying new cookie recipes, salsa dancing, and using her passport as often as possible.
