Biography

Ashton Clarke joins Alta Vista School as Director of Advancement, bringing more than 15 years of experience building philanthropic programs across independent schools, higher education, and the private sector. He is excited to join the AVS community and to help advance a school whose commitment to developing creative thinkers and catalysts for change deeply resonates with his own values.

Prior to joining AVS, Ashton has raised funds for Rocky Mountain PBS in Denver, CO, Robert Louis Stevenson School in Pebble Beach, CA (his alma mater), Hartnell College in Salinas, CA, and University of California, Berkeley - Intercollegiate Athletics. Additionally, Ashton is a former college athlete and former coach with a personal passion for expanding access to youth sports. He is a Bay Area native and lives in the East Bay with his wife Chelsea and their son.
