Adriana was born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education from the National Pedagogical University of Colombia. She later completed a postgraduate degree in the Management of Educational Institutions from the University of Tolima.
With over 20 years of teaching experience, Adriana has worked in private schools in Colombia, San Francisco, and Florida. Since 2008, she has been sharing her passion for the Spanish language in Bay Area classrooms.
Adriana is known for creating a warm, joyful, and welcoming classroom environment where students feel safe taking risks and expressing themselves. She believes that language learning should be an adventure filled with curiosity, creativity, and cultural discovery. Her teaching encourages a growth mindset, helping students see mistakes not as setbacks but as valuable learning moments.
Outside the classroom, Adriana enjoys traveling and exploring new cultures and traditions. She has a deep passion for music and often weaves rhythm, movement, and songs into her teaching. She values strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
