Biography

Laura Bridges-Pereira is entering her first year as Head of Middle School at Alta Vista School. Prior to joining Alta Vista, she served as Director of Special Programs and Head of Preschool at The San Francisco School, and as Associate Director of the Middle School at Tampa Preparatory School in Florida.

 A polyglot fluent in French, Spanish, Portuguese, and English, Laura’s experience spans public, private, international, and university-level education. She has taught and led programs across early childhood through high school, with a particular passion for middle school, student agency, innovative pedagogy, and fostering forward-thinking programming that centers the whole child. Laura has presented at regional and national conferences including FCIS, AMLE, and ACTFL. She has also been recognized for her pioneering work integrating augmented and virtual reality into middle school world language classrooms.
