Biography

Elizabeth is an alumni parent and veteran AVS volunteer. She has served as president of the Board of Trustees and on the board’s Advancement, Governance, Finance, DEIB, Audit, and Executive Committees. Prior to becoming a trustee, she volunteered with the Parent & Family Group as room parent, school support chair, vice chair, development chair, and gala organizer.

In 2023, Elizabeth completed her Masters in Nonprofit Administration at University of San Francisco. She also holds a masters and a PhD in English from Trinity College Dublin in Ireland. 

Elizabeth is an avid gluten-free baker and enjoys travel and spending time in the Sierras with her husband Killian Murphy and child Eilis. Eilis graduated from AVS in 2024 after enjoying ten wonderful years as an Aviator and now attends Lick-Wilmerding High School.
