Biography

Jeremiah's fascination with science began in his middle school science class in a small Arizona town, leading him to earn a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology from the University of Arizona, where he was first introduced to research. His research journey took him to UC Berkeley, where he worked on understanding proteins involved in chromosome segregation, and later to TGen, where he focused on researching triple-negative breast cancer.

Transitioning from research to teaching, Jeremiah has extensive experience teaching high school chemistry and biology, and developing rigorous curricula as an IB Biology teacher. He has also served as an instructor, where he taught college level organic chemistry and biochemistry.

Outside of his professional life, Jeremiah has a passion for Lindy Hop, a dance he has enjoyed for 11 years. He is now excited to bring his love for science and education to the middle school students at Alta Vista, aiming to inspire curiosity and understanding in the next generation.
