Biography

Sakshi joins the AVS team with four years of experience as an educator. She has taught 4th grade in Oakland public schools and most recently worked as an environmental educator across the East Bay. Sakshi aims to facilitate an environment where students drive their learning by posing questions, formulating hypotheses, conducting hands-on investigations, and constructing meaning through observations and analyses. She believes it is essential to build a classroom community where diverse perspectives are valued and social-emotional skills are developed alongside academic content. In her free time, Sakshi enjoys baking, reading, spending time in nature, and finding delicious food spots around the Bay Area.
