Angelique will join AVS in 2024 after teaching underserved communities in Dallas. In 2022, she earned her Master of Science in Elementary Education from Johns Hopkins University in partnership with Americorps and Urban Teachers. Before becoming an elementary school teacher, Angelique supported academy programming for youth and young adults in filmmaking, visual arts, and digital media at the Bayview-Hunters Point Center for Arts and Technology.
As a San Francisco native, Angelique is deeply committed to serving the vibrant community that shaped her upbringing. Her goal as an educator is to provide students with meaningful opportunities to think critically, collaborate effectively, and take action within the larger community. She aims to celebrate the uniqueness of each student, cultivate inclusivity, and foster lifelong learning. Angelique can be found hiking up north, swimming laps, shooting film photographs, or at home reading with her cat when she's not teaching.
