Biography
Ms. Jessica Marie Leary Duquette

GENERAL INFORMATION
Jessi has been working with elementary aged students in both traditional classroom environments and outdoor education settings for over 20 years. Beginning in the redwoods of San Mateo County, Jessi taught 5th and 6th graders from around the bay area about earth science and environmental stewardship through hands-on activities and exploration with Exploring New Horizons Outdoor Schools. She spent 7 summers working with Camp Galileo, as both an Art Instructor and Camp Director. From the forest, Jessi was drawn to the city and joined San Francisco Unified School District, working with predominantly second and third graders in the Mission and Bernal neighborhoods.
When she is not at school, Jessi loves being outside! Gardening, hiking, camping, and travel are some of her favorite pastimes. Born and raised in the bay area, Jessi loves local adventures and globetrotting the world, to learn new things about our backyard on a variety of scales. She is also a proud parent of an AVS Aviator, and incredibly grateful for this community.
