Biography

This is Alex’s first year at Alta Vista School, and he’s so excited to be joining the BookEnds team. He previously taught at an outdoor forest preschool in Golden Gate Park that was centered on explorative, hands-on learning. There, he helped connect students with nature through hikes, storytime, arts and crafts, imaginative play, and discovery. Alex went to school at San Francisco State University, where he graduated with a BA in Studio Art with a Minor in Animation. He also holds foundational certificates in Digital Art and Visual Design from City College of San Francisco.

In his spare time, Alex loves to go on walks in McLaren Park, draw in his sketch pad, and play with his grey tabby cat, Scamper.
