Biography

A native New Yorker, Joe called Queens home until just last year when he and his wife, Jessica, embarked on an exciting new journey by relocating to San Francisco.

Joe's unwavering commitment to education is deeply ingrained in both his family's legacy and his personal journey. While he was the first in his immediate family to attend university, he proudly carries on a multi-generational tradition of dedication to the field of education at The Alta Vista School.

With nearly two decades of experience in the education and non-profit sectors, Joe's career has been defined by his belief in the power of mission-aligned organizations to fuel his passion and drive efficiency in his work. Early in his professional journey, Joe spent nearly a decade with Oxbridge Academic Programs, where he made significant contributions to the renowned summer education program, hosted by esteemed institutions such as the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge.

In more recent roles, Joe has served as the Director of Finance at Phalen Leadership Academies and as the Director of Operations at Pledge 1%. Throughout these positions, he consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership and an unwavering commitment to advancing educational opportunities and social impact initiatives.

Joe's profound passion for education, coupled with his adeptness at navigating diverse environments, positions him as an invaluable asset to any community he becomes a part of. He is genuinely thrilled to contribute his expertise and enthusiasm to The Alta Vista community.
