Biography

In 2021, Alicia began her journey in AVS as a substitute teacher, lending her expertise to a vibrant 3rd-grade classroom. She resumed this role once more in 2023. During the 2022 academic year, Alicia embarked on a teaching adventure abroad, enriching her experience and broadening her educational horizons. Alicia is committed to creating a safe, nurturing atmosphere and a tight-knit community in her classroom. She cultivates an inclusive learning environment where students can create meaningful bonds and utilize rigorous critical thinking. Alicia strives to empower her students to inquire, appreciate diverse perspectives, and collaborate effectively with their peers through immersive projects and real-world experiences. 

Alicia is a Bay Area native who enjoys reading, baking, and staying active through sports in her spare time.
