Biography

Dina joins AVS after teaching in the Bay Area for 19 years at public, charter, and independent schools. Dina believes in the power of creating authentic opportunities for students to engage in their learning. Dina’s teaching philosophy is to hold every child to high expectations and to create an inclusive community where everyone feels safe and seen. Dina builds strong connections with her students and uses their interests as a launching point for creative projects. When she’s not teaching, she can be found outside enjoying all that the Bay Area has to offer with her son and husband, knitting, sewing, running, playing soccer, listening to podcasts, and watching the Warriors.
