Other Information
Jeff comes to Alta Vista with more than a decade of teaching experience. He has taught Kindergarten and graduate level students and all grades/levels in between. Most recently, he was a 6th-grade homeroom teacher and learning specialist working on the Monterey Peninsula. He has expertise in giftedness and other learning differences, in addition to his background in science. Before becoming an educator, Jeff was a forest ecologist with ten years of experience as a practitioner and an academic.
When he’s not teaching or learning about learning, Jeff spends as much time with his 17-year-old son as he can. He’s also a runner and enjoys spending time in nature hiking, biking, and birding. He’s looking forward to finding a good trivia night, although his two kitties begrudge him those late nights.
