Biography

Kate is a Chicago native and Boston University graduate. In her professional life she worked in market research before pivoting to financial services for managed future & hedge funds, and has spent the last decade focused on parenting. Kate has been an active AVS volunteer for many years, serving as room parent, gala co chair, secretary for the AVS Parent and Family Group, and other roles along the way. She is excited to support the school now as a trustee.

Kate and her husband William settled in San Francisco in 2011 after William's graduation from the MBA program at University of Chicago. They live in Noe Valley where they can often be found avoiding their own kitchen at neighborhood cafes with their children, Sadie (class of '26) and Lucy (class of '30). In her spare time, Kate likes to dabble in graphic design, photography and ceramics, and assists where she can in the family grape growing and wine-making ventures.
