Biography

Sandy Stevens is originally from the Chicago area and has taught Art at public, international and private schools for eighteen years in Illinois, Kansas, Hawaii and now, California. She is a practicing artist and sells her paintings at a few events based out of Oahu. She is also a printmaker and is inspired by all things botanical, the ocean, architecture and loves to paint en plein air. She is also a certified Yoga Therapist and has had her own yoga business and studio for thirteen years. She loves to travel, sail, hike and swim whenever possible.

Sandy is excited to be here at Alta Vista and learn from, as well as, inspire her new students. It is her goal to give students a well-rounded and in-depth experience of the many media of Art so they can better express their ideas and experiences. She believes Art plays an essential role in the human experience and our connection to each other.
