Biography

Kate and William Long joined the AVS community in 2017 when their oldest child started Kindergarten, and now have 2 children at the Lower School. Kate has been an active volunteer for many years, serving as Room Parent, Gala Co Chair, Secretary for the AVS Parent and Family Group's Executive Committee, and other small roles along the way. She’s excited to support the school now as a Board Trustee.

Kate is a Chicago native and Boston University graduate. In past professional capacities she worked to oversee client relationships in a variety of marketing and financial settings, and has spent the last decade focused on parenting. Kate is an enthusiastic photographer, optimistic trip planner, intermittent runner and a lover of both museums and sunshine. She and her family live in Noe Valley, and are very grateful to be a part of such a warm & dynamic school community.
