Biography
Margaretann is originally from Pennsylvania. She joined the United States Army after graduating from high school where she received her nursing training at The Academy of Health Sciences located at Ft. Sam Houston in San Antonio Texas. She served for 2 active duty tours (8 years total). Her last duty station was the Presidio of San Francisco. She fell in love with The City at that time and has remained here ever since.
She has been a part of the San Francisco medical community for over 30 years, specializing in Cardiovascular and Neurosurgical nursing. Needing a break from the critical care arena, she agreed to work for the SFUSD as a school nurse which provided the change she needed. She worked for USD for 4 years until the pandemic hit and schools went virtual.
Margaretann has been a part of the AVS team since October 2020, helping navigate the way through the pandemic.
On her off time she enjoys good conversation with her son, reading, walking through the different parts of The City, and staying current with everything Star Wars. May the force be with you.
