Biography
Jenna joined AVS in 2020 from Cambridge, Massachusetts after completing her master's degree at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Jenna's educational philosophy is firmly grounded in the whole-child model. Jenna is a lifelong dancer and is dedicated to creating holistic learning spaces where students can engage their minds and bodies. Jenna believes in prioritizing pedagogy that draws connections across disciplines, designing learning in response to student interests by integrating subject areas with intentionality.

She works to make learning meaningful and relevant by posing questions that ask students to critically reflect on their ideas about themselves, their communities, and the world. Jenna had four years of experience teaching third grade at a Massachusetts public school before joining the AVS team. She is looking forward to exploring the West Coast and spending time hiking, browsing farmers markets, dancing, and doing yoga.
