Angela is a seasoned educator with over two decades of experience teaching across age groups—from preschoolers to young adults—on both the East and West Coasts. Her diverse background includes serving as the Program Coordinator for the Early Learning Program at Discovery Channel in the Washington D.C. area, as well as a visiting teacher at charter and independent schools throughout the Bay Area.
Angela plays a key role in advancing the school’s commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB). She collaborates closely with faculty, staff, and students to foster a learning environment where every individual feels seen, heard, and valued. Angela brings thoughtfulness and care to this work, supporting curriculum development and community conversations that reflect AVS’s values of empathy, curiosity, and respect.
Angela also brings joy and creativity into her work—particularly through music. A passionate singer, she weaves music into her to enrich student learning and deepen cultural connections.
