Biography

As Assistant Head of Lower School, Sarah is committed to fostering a vibrant, supportive, and inclusive learning community. She brings her passion for education and her belief in the power of curiosity to every aspect of her leadership. Sarah’s diverse influences and experiences have shaped her educational philosophy, guiding her work in supporting students, teachers, and families alike.

Before moving into administration, Sarah spent 15 years in the classroom, including eight years at Alta Vista School, teaching 2nd grade. These years in the classroom deeply inform her approach as a school leader, keeping student-centered learning, authentic engagement, and teacher support at the heart of her work.

In her role, Sarah prioritizes creating an environment where every child feels seen, heard, and empowered to grow. She is dedicated to cultivating creativity, respect, and multicultural perspectives across the Lower School, ensuring that students not only thrive academically but also develop strong social consciences and a lifelong love of learning.
