About Us
ABOUT ALTA VISTA
Alta Vista , started as Phoenix NW IN 1984.
In Feb 1998, we moved to Bremerton and became known as Alta Vista.
Since opening, we have met the needs of students from Bainbridge, Kingston,
Poulsbo, Indianola, Bremerton, Silverdale, Purdy, Port Orchard, Gorst, Gig
Harbor and Belfair.
We, at Alta Vista, offer a uniquely versatile, integrated curriculum approach to
education.
Curriculum and course contents have been developed to be compatible with
Kitsap County school districts. More individualized instructions makes the
development of self-discipline, the meeting of challenges and the achievement
of success obtainable for students.
Alta Vista School conducts year-around programs for full-time, part-time, and
supplementary home school education. All programs are by design and
philosophy, "preparatory" both in the sense of preparation for near or long
term college or university work, and in the broadest sense, for life-long
learning. Alta Vista expects students to obtain self-discipline skills and a strong
sense of individualism. In the regard, curricula designs focus on individual
learning styles and needs.
ALTA VISTA'S MISSION STATEMENT
Our Mission is to provide excellence in education and individual development in a spirit of equality, allowing the student to meet and exceed the academic standards.
